News Update :

Congress nothing to do with YSRC crisis

5 January 2012

Hyderabad : The sequence of events unfolding in the YSR Congress camp, will in no way affect Congress party and will have no impact in the by-elections, said former minister J C Diwakar Reddy.
Congress will not suffer any major loss in the bye-elections to be held for 24 constituencies with the arrests of anyone in respect to the disproportionate assets case of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he told reporters here on Wednesday.
He rebutted the charges of YS Jagan Reddy that the Congress was using CBI as tool to settle scores with YSR Congress activists.
The Centre and State Governments have no role in the arrest of Jagathi Publications Vice-president and auditor Vijay Sai Reddy, he said adding that the arrest was a result of the case filed by Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao in High Court.
Condemning YS Jagan's charge that Congress was afraid to initiate disqualification action his MLAs, he said that Speaker Nadendla Manohar has to take final decision in this regard.
Congress has never feared to go to people for a mandate and is prepared to face by-elections anytime he said and expressed confidence that party would sweep the elections.
