Mafia Don’s super luxury life

10 September 2011

Hyderabad, Sep 8: Gali Janardhana Reddy was stinking rich. He has thousands of crores of rupees. Now he is behind bars, cooling his heels, lamenting the irregularities he had done and the public money he has robbed. He had literal palaces at Bellary and Bangalooru - the palaces that practically resembled the Mayasabha of Pandavas in Mahabharata. He had his own helicopters. Not one or two. But three BEL choppers. Each cost him a whopping 16 crore rupees. He had a palace-like Volvo bus. It has a luxurious bedroom, toilet, LCD TVs and a modern kitchen. The bus resembles the one used by the villain in ‘Mallanna.’ The bus was designed in the world’s most famed designing garage.  He had an army of servants, waiting for his beck and call. And he had the most expensive cars like the Rolls Royce waiting for him to hop in. He never bothered about money when he wanted luxury – because it was not hard earned money.

The man who spent such luxurious life in now sleeping on cement slab – in the Chanchalguda Jail. The CBI had seized his expensive bus, cars and choppers.

Going back to the days of his childhood, it was not all that rosy for Gali. His father was a small constable. Gali, his brothers Karunakar Reddy, Somasekhara Reddy and sister Rajeswari used to live in a small hut in Putturu village under Erpedu mandal of Chittoor district. His childhood days were spent in that murky hut in abject poverty. There is no comparison between his life of those days and recent luxury life. He has grown as a big don by robbing the iron ore. He has constructed mansions turning iron ore into brick and placing them one on the other. Now after the CBI raid, these mansions are shaking. How long would it be before they collapse would be known soon.
