The Supreme Court on Thursday issued orders that the vault 'B' Of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala should not be opened till an integrated and multi-layered security cover is provided.
The supreme court also said they are satisfied with the State Government's assurance to provide security cover for the temple. "The expert committee should go ahead with the preservation and conservation of other vaults, " said the Supreme Court. Jewelery and gold worth over Rs 1 lakh crore was found in in the five vaults that were opened earlier. The Travancore royal family was against opening of the vault and had claimed that the treasure belongs to the gods.
