Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's mythological movie, 'Sri Rama Rajyam' ran 50 days successfully in 49 direct centers. On account of this great moment, its fifty days function was held on 5th January at Shilpakala Vedika of Hyderabad. Below are the highlights and sidelights of this function.
Highlights:
- Many eminent personalities of Tollywood like, Dasari Narayana Rao, K.Viswanadh, S.P.Balasubrahmanyam,Yedida Nageswara Rao, Murali Mohan, Krishnam Raju, Ambika Krishna etc. graced their presence at the function.
- Dasari Narayana Rao wished that the current young generation should take the responsibility of encouraging such good movies as they reflect our great heritage and culture.
- Krishnam Raju appreciated every actor and technician who belonged to this movie.
- Balakrishna explained the greatness of epics like Ramayana and Maha Bharatha. He told that he is delighted for playing the role of Lord Sri Rama.
Sidelights:
- Balakrishna revealed one interesting thing about a coincidence. His father, late NTR, acted as Lord Sri Rama in 'Sri Ramanjaneya Yuddham' at the age of 52. Similarly, Balakrishna acted as Lord Sri Rama at the age of 52 in Sri Rama Rajyam, and both movies were directed by Bapu.
- When Krishnam Raju said that the future CM would be Balakrishna, there was a huge response from the fans.
- S.P.Balasubrahmanyam's speech went on interestingly and without any hypocrisy. Many claps were heard when he asked Nayantara to stop acting in movies as she may never get opportunity to act in such a role. The audience reaction was also high when he said that he just finished dubbing for Balakrishna in 'Sri Rama Rajyam' Tamil version.
- Every speaker on the dais appreciated the producer Yalamanchili Saibabu for making such a classic.
