The huge success of Dookudu has created a new market for Mahesh Babu in Tamil Nadu. This in turn made the distributors to come forward to buy the Tamil rights of the actor's forthcoming movie The Businessman. Now, we hear that the rights have been bagged by none other than Gnanavel Raja.
Noted producer Gnanavel Raja, who is a cousin of actors Surya and Karthi, has acquired the rights of The Businessman for a reasonably good price, says a source. He is all set to release the film on his banner Studio Green in Tamil Nadu on January 13. However, the movie will face tough competition from straight Tamil movies like Shankar's Nanban and Lingusamy's Vettai.
It is also said that Gnanavel Raja has also bought the Tamil remake rights of The Businessman. However, the craze for Mahesh Babu's movies started after the release of Dookudu, which made good business in Chennai and also holds the record of highest grossing Telugu movie in Tamil Nadu.
Mahesh Babu and Kajal Aggarwal starrer The Businessman is coming with the tagline, 'Guns don't need arguments'. The movie is directed by Puri Jagannath.
