Petite beauty Samanta beats star heroine of Sonam Kapoor in the race to grab much coveted role in Mani Ratnam’s next film. Finally, Maniratnam found a suitable girl to be paired opposite newcomer Gautam, son of Tamil star Kartick.
"It’s a dream come true for me" says a jubilant Samanta. In fact, after her initial screen test Mani wasn’t satisfied and had kept her on hold, while checking out other girls before coming back to the T-town actress again.
When asked How she managed to competition from others she said "I don’t know about others, but I am cherishing the opportunity to work with the legendary film-maker and his top-notch team of A.R. Rahman, Ravi K. Chandran and others. The breezy, romantic entertainer will be made in Telugu and Tamil."
No doubt, Samanta has struck gold in the beginning of 2012, continuing from the smashing success of Dookudu. Apart from this she has also signed projects with Tollywood biggies.
