Dhanush’s new film with Simbhu Devan, which is titled Maareesan, is a fictional period film set in the 12th century. The flick is a high budget one.
The director who has carved a niche for himself with laugh riots like Imasai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and Arai En 305il Kadavul is said to have taken special interest with this script to fit Dhanush into it.
Sources say this will also be a comedy caper with a mythological touch. The big buzz is that UTV Motion Pictures, which was touted to produce Maareesan, is no longer in the fray.
Instead producer Aascar Ravichandran has stepped in and has decided to make the film. Sources vouch that the grandeur of the flick, considering Dhanush’s probable entry has now increased multifold!
