The Pokiri combo is back. Prince Mahesh Babu and Dashing director Puri Jagannadh, who had earlier delivered a super blockbuster Pokiri has yet again teamed up for Businessman. This time, the makers have used the services of happening composer Thaman who has recently scored for Dookudu. Businessman is the first film to have a trilingual audio release on the same day in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions. Expectations on Businessman are quite high and way2movies brings you the Businessman audio review.
Let’s see how Thaman scored for Businessman. Here’s the Businessman music review…
1. Aamchi Mumbai    -- 3.25/5
Artist(s): Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Naveen, Aalap Raju
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
Thaman has started of the album with this energetic introduction track that has high beats with a heavy chorus. Octopad, electric guitar and other percussion instruments were adequately used. The highly energetic vocals of the singers make it a charging number while Bhaskarbhatla’s lyrics were fine mostly penned in Hindi, describing the aspects of Mumbai city. Good start by Thaman.
2. Sir Osthara    -- 3.5/5
Artist(s): Suchitra, Thaman. S
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
Sir Osthara is certainly an addictive and catchy tune and would attract the listeners in its first listen itself. Suchitra has sung with good energy and her rendition bringing the flirtatious feel to the number is definitely a plus for the song and Thaman has supported her well. Bhaskarbhatla’s lyrics are interesting and Thaman has scored it richly with a good usage of keyboard, guitar, violin, octopad. Go for it!!!
3. Pilla Chao           -- 3/5
Artist(s): Rahul Nambiar
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
Pilla Chao takes off with a soft Saxophone tone and soon turns out to be a fast paced foot tapping number. The number is inspired from an Italian song Bella ciao. The high pace is maintained all through the song and Rahul Nambiar has sung this solo number with tremendous energy striking it with the chords. The lyrics are entertaining with slightly funny and flirtatious.  Take a listen!!!
4. Chandamama Navve    -- 2.75/5
Artist(s): Haricharan
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
This is a medium paced melody track with the hero describing his feelings and love for his girl.  The composition is good but might remind of Thaman’s duets in the recent times. The orchestration of octopad drums along with other electronic instruments is good though. Lyrics were simple and convincing. Haricharan has delivered a good job.
5. Bad Boyz   -- 2.75/5
Artist(s): Priya Himesh, Geetha Madhuri
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
Here is an item number of the album. The song had a mix of western flavour with a fast and heavy beats. Geetha Madhuri and Priya Hemesh were pleasing with distinctive vocal renditions. Bhaskarbhatla lyrics were mediocre and might go well with masses. Puri Jagannadh had pictured rocking item numbers and let’s wait to see how he films the Bad boyz.
6. Businessman (Theme)    -- 3.25/5
Artist(s): Mahesh Babu, Puri Jagannadh
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
The theme song was the most awaited since Mahesh and Puri has lent their voice for the song and it looked like Mahesh has given voice-over to the number rather than singing. The punch liners were attractive and Thaman has rocked the number with a catchy tune and high beats. Bhaskarbhatla has done a good job with simple yet rhythmic words. Impressive track!!!
Verdict
All in all, Thaman has impressed the audiences with Businessman by delivering few energetic tracks that goes well with larger sections. Sir Osthara has turned out to be instant hit while Aamchi Mumbai and the theme song too are catchy. All the singers’ have done a great job while Bhaskarbhatla’s lyrics are impressive. Enjoy Businessman songs folks!!!
