The origins and purpose of Stonehenge remain a mystery to this day, which is I guess why it is such a wonder. Many believe it is a time piece, but even if that is the case, that would not answer the question of how the stones got there.

The construction of The Great Wall began in the 3rd century BC and was not completed until the 17th century. The purpose of the Wall was to keep out foreign armies with intentions of raiding and toppling Chinese dynasties.

This ancient Inca territory remains a mystery as to what its purpose was. One thing that is agreed upon is its sheer physical beauty and spirituality.
