Visakhapatnam : Tamil Nadu Governor Konijeti Rosaiah was felicitated at the Andhra University Convocation hall here.
Replying to a huge felicitation organised by the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh Arya Vysya organisation yesterday, Mr Rosaiah said he would discharge his responsibilities as custodian of the Constitution for the development of the state and to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
Mr Rosaiah visited the city for the first time after taking over as the Governor of Tamil Nadu. He along with his family members visited Simhachalam Temple in the Port City.
He said as a Governor of Tamil Nadu, it was his responsibility to protect the values of the Constitution while discharging duties.
Mr Rosaiah said he will work hard for the development of the state by guiding the state government.
Expressing concern on the recent bomb blast in Delhi, he said the development in the country would be affected by the unnecessary disturbances, adding, "this type of disturbances would affect the development of the country." Several political leaders, including Congress, BJP, CPI, TDP, CPM praised the services of Mr Rosaiah for the development of the state during his 60 year political life.
