Encased in a metal chassis, the Cowon C2 comes with a 2.6 inch resistive touch-screen with a native resolution of 320x240 pixels. The C2 supports a variety of audio/video files formats, JPEG for images and it also comes with a documents reader. The player ships with 4GB of built-in memory that can be expanded to 32GB via a microSD card.

Creative is one of the oldest names in digital sound tech and the latest series of X-Fi media players boast an audio processor that up-scales sound files and improves its fidelity. This 16GB Zen X-Fi 2 is equipped with a 3-inch touch-screen with a native resolution of 400x240 pixels. The player can connect to a Wi-Fi network and stream sound and video files stored on a remote computer.

Philips GoGear Muse:
While Philips may be a household name, it is not really renowned in the PMP space. But this hasn't discouraged the company as they have a couple of series already in the market.
The one in discussion here is the Philips GoGear Muse with 8GB internal storage and 3.2 inch touch-screen. The player has a wide range of support for audio, video and image files and it can even tune into and record from FM stations.

Sony Walkman NWZ-A844:
Sony was the reigning champion in this category before it was supplanted by Apple, and they are still in the business with players carrying the all too familiar Walkman moniker.
The Sony Walkman NWZ-A844's shinning feature is the 2.8-inch OLED display with a native resolution of 400x240 pixels. The player has internal storage capacity of 8GB and supports a variety of media file formats.

The humble Zebronics Cinema 4.3 has the distinction of having a 4.3 inch display, making it an easy choice for those who are primarily in the market for a portable video player. The relatively large screen is backed-up by internal hardware that can render 720p videos and should you crave for a larger screen, it can connect to an external display through its TV-out port.
