David Billa Review | Rating | Story | First Day Talk...

14 July 2012

David Billa Review – David Billa Movie Review, Rating, Billa 2 Tamil Film Review: Billa 2 is the prequel to Tamil movie Billa. Ajith Kumar played the lead role and it was directed by Chakri Toleti. Here’s the review…

Listen Review:
Story:

David Billa (Ajith) comes to India as a Sri Lankan refugee and he turns into a don. How his journey starts and how does he become don is the story of David Billa. This story includes Billa’s family and also a bit of romantic side of Billa with his sister’s daughter Jasmine (Parvathi).

Analysis:

David Billa’s childhood and his life in Sri Lanka will be shown in photo sequences during the titles. The actual story begins when he comes to India. Hot blooded Billa straightaway finds ways to get big and rich. He starts off as a smalltime goon and rises to a position where he sits next to one big don.

Such stories should be told in an arresting manner. But the director of this film simplified it way too much. Billa’s rise is not at all exciting. He just gets what he wants and does whatever he plans without any trouble. Therefore there is nothing to engage the audiences.

Snail paced narration is another setback of this film. The movie moves at a painstakingly slow pace that you might fall asleep in a while. It is a bad bad sign for a film with such an iconic character. It is a blunder to say the past or history of Don Billa in an uninteresting manner. The film is technically sound and also stylish at times.

Content is too weak that those plus points couldn’t lift the movie up. Except for Ajith’s stellar performance even Tamil audience doesn’t have much to cheer.

Performances:

Ajith is menacing as the man on a mission. His performance is wonderful. He has to take care about his physique though. Sudhanshu Pandey is cool and Vidyut Jamwal is pretty stylish. Parvathi Omanakuttan has nothing much to do. So does Bruna Abdulla. They don’t impress as the female leads. Rest of the star cast is not known faces to our audience.

Technicalities:

Cinematography is splendid. RD Rajasekhar carried the mood of this film with his wonderful cinematography. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs are mediocre, but the background score is impressive. Editing is alright. Could have been better.

Director Chakri Toleti excelled in few scenes and failed in many. He failed to grab the essence of the story and present it in an effective way. A good director with great command over narrating HEROES stories could have made this a movie to be remembered.

Final Word:

David Billa might appeal to audience who like to watch slow action dramas. There are so many Gangster dramas in Hollywood and this film follows the same suit. Ajith is the saving grace for this slow paced flick.

David Billa Movie Rating: 2.5/5

Eega Premier Show Review,Eega morning Show Review
             Eega Review โ€“ Rajamouli Movie
Eega Review – Eega Movie Review, Rating,Eega Telugu Film Review: Eega is made in Tamil as Naan Ee and it released in Tamilnadu simultaneously with Telugu version today. Here is the review of latest Rajamouli’s wonder…

Listen Review:

Story:

Nani (Nani) and Bindu (Samantha) are lovers. Sudeep (Sudeep) a rich brat comes in between them and he kills Nani to get his hands on Bindu. Nani reincarnates as a housefly and avenges his death. He gets help from Samantha and how they execute their plan to kill Sudeep is what Eega is about.

Analysis:
Rajamouli told the story of Eega on the day of launch and people had expectations over how this film is going to be. Rajamouli exceeded all those expectations with his wonderful visual sense and executing his idea to the perfection.

Eega is an event. It can’t be put into words. It should be experienced to know the greatness of it. There are some mind blowing thrills and sequences that will sweep you off your feet. Housefly’s birth and the scenes that follow will arrest you with the detailing and wonderful research done.

First half breezes off with good romantic episodes and Sudeep’s powerful performance. Second half is dominated by housefly scenes. There are many clap worthy scenes in the film. One would can’t help but fall in love with Rajamouli’s visualization and his terrific narration. As the film has not much story the pace tends to fall a bit at times, but there are ample scenes to make it up for it.

Performances:

Nani was good in his limited role. Sudeep was terrific as the bad guy. His stellar performance was one of the major plus points of the film. His screen presence will make you feel that there is no better option than him for this role. Samantha was a treat to watch. She has given a convincing performance. All others didn’t have much role to play, but everyone did fine in their respective roles. Watch out for Tagubothu Ramesh’s cameo!

Technicalities:

Dialogues were apt. Cinematography was excellent. Editing was up to the mark. Music by Keeravani is the major asset for this film. His background score stands out as one of his best works ever. There are few good melody songs too. CGI work was superb. Visual Effects will definitely rank among the best on Indian screen. Eega’s movements, dances and everything were done to the best possible levels. There was lot of time and hard work put into the film and the results are seen.

Eega is a technically well made film. Production values were top notch. Rajamouli has done a terrific job. His ideas and execution were superb in the film. There were many scenes where one would admire Rajamouli. He is undoubtedly the best director in Tollywood now.

Final Word:

Eega is one of the best films in recent times. It will be liked by kids. If you keep the logics aside, the movie will entertain you to the core. One of the rare films that has to be seen on big screen only. Go watch it!

Eega Movie Rating: 3.5/5

Eega Preview | Rating | Story | Public Talk...

Eega, the much awaited film from director SS Rajamouli is all set to release this Friday. The film which began as a small 2 Cr venture has now turned into a 30 Cr plus biggie with VFX of international standards. Owing to immense hype and international standards of making the film is carrying tremendous expectations among the audience.
Strength
Director SS Rajamouli is the films biggest strength and positive. He knows the pulse of the audience very well that can be seen with his track record which has no failures at all.
The special effects are said to be the best of the best.eega nani samantha latest photos pics wallpapers images 300×134 SWOT Analysis: EEGA Movie
MM Keeravani’s music and re-recording has always been a biggest plus for the director’s films and Eega is no different.
Weakness
The film is carrying tremendous expectations and extraordinary hype which can prove to be a bane for the film’s success.
The tricky storyline which sees an animated fly taking revenge on a man.
Opportunity
It’s a right venture to showcase the might of the director.
For hero Nani this is the biggest project of his career so far. If it is clicks it might take him to next stage and turn him onto a star.
If it clicks it would help in expansion of the Telugu cine market as its releasing big in Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously along with Telugu version.
Threat
Release of biggies like Julayi in Telugu and Billa 2 in Tamil a week after might prove to be a hindrance for box office growth of Eega.
Release of Bol Bachchan on the same day might result in dividing of attention at the multiplexes through its first weekend, especially in Nizam and other states.

Daruvu Review

Release date: 25 May 2012
123telugu.com Rating : 2.75/5
Director : J.Siva Kumar
Producer : Burugupalli Shiva Rama Krishna
Music Director : Vijay Antony
Starring: Ravi Teja, Taapsee, Bramanandam,

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has teamed up with Tapsee for the movie ‘Daruvu’. Directed by Siva and produced by Boorugupalli Sivaramakrishna, the movie has released across the world today. Music has been scored by Vijay Anthony. Let us see how the movie is.
Story :
The story of the film is very similar to other Yamalokam films of the past like Yamaleela, Yamudiki Mogudu and Yamadonga. Bullet Raja ( Ravi Teja) is a small time crook with a good heart. He bumps into Shwetha (Tapsee) at a function and falls in love with her. But Shwetha is already engaged to Harbour Babu (Sushant Singh), a powerful local goon. Harbour Babu hatches a plan to finish off Bullet Raja and he succeeds in his efforts.
Bullet Raja heads to Yamalokam, but he realises that his life is unjustly terminated by Chitragupta (M.S.Narayana) and so he picks up a fight with Yamadharma Raja (Prabhu). A hapless Yamadharma Raja decides to send him back to earth into the body of Home Minister Ravindra, who is killed by his associates (Shayaji Shinde and Avinash). After Bullet Raja enters into the body of Ravinder, he must now confront his enemies and fulfill the wishes of his mother (Jayasudha) and his followers. Whether he succeeds or not forms the rest of the story.
Plus Points :
Ravi Teja continues to amaze with his incredible energy levels. His best performance comes when he portrays the role of the Home Minister with negative shades. There is a lot of potential in this fine actor and someone needs to tap that.
Jayasudha gives a terrific performance as Ravi Teja’s mother and the emotional scenes involving her have come out well. Tamil star Prabhu gives a decent performance as Yamadharma Raja. Brahmanandam is good as Vidya Balan and he succeeds in bringing a few laughs along with Vennela Kishore. Raghubabu is good as the corrupt swamiji. Shayaji Shinde and Avinash are ok in their limited characters. Srinivasa Reddy and Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam entertain briefly.
The climax scenes have good emotional quotient and they have been executed well. Same is the case with the Interval block. Some of the comedy scenes are enjoyable.
Minus Points :
Tapsee disappoints in a very insignificant role. She only has a perpetually shocked expression on her face throughout the movie. Her acting skills need polish and she needs to learn to emote.
The film is excessively loud in many places and the length is a tad too long. While Ravi Teja’s pre-interval performance as the Home Minister is good, his performance gets very repetitive in the rest of the film. It is time for him to try something different.
M.S.Narayana is wasted as Chitragupta and his characterization is poor. Same is the case with Sushant Singh. The placement of songs in the film leaves much to be desired, especially in the second half. None of the songs are appealing and they act as speed breakers.
The Yamalokam set and the graphics are atrociously bad and I have not seen such shoddy work in recent times. There is a green mat which acts as the flooring and the visuals give the impression that the actors are standing on uneven ground.
There are many holes in the plot. When your face resembles the face of the Home Minister ofAndhra Pradesh, will you and the people around you fail to see that? The abrupt change of heart shown by Shayaji Shinde and Avinash is not convincing.
Technical Aspects :
Cinematography is not too good and leaves much to be desired. Editing is jerky and care should have been taken here. Background score is bad and music is very poor. It is very loud and none of the songs make a good impression. Director Siva does not make a very strong case for himself with this movie. He succeeds with the climax episode and the interval block but that is just about it. His direction is substandard in other areas.
Dialogues are just about ok. Dances have routine Ravi Teja steps and there is nothing new here. Production values are just about average.
Verdict :
Daruvu is a very routine and unexciting offering from Ravi Teja and that is a bigdisappointment, given his considerable talent and incredible energy levels. He tries his best to make the film work but there is not much he can do when there are a host of other issues with the film. Poor graphics, lengthy narration and bad music are glaring problems. There are a few good moments in the film, but the key word here is ‘few’. Watch the movie without any expectations only if you are a Ravi Teja fan.

Daruvu is a Graphical Socio Fantasy Film

Average To Above Average Picture

Raviteja looks old in Movie

Unbearable Over action scenes some times

Very Good Comedy By Brahmi As usual

Unbalanced Tapsee Glamour on screen(Better in Wallpapers than movie)

Storyline is inspired from yamadonga and yamudiki mogudu

Don't expect anything new from raviteja in the terms of action..
it's the same teasings-same old comedy-same old rudeness.......
